You are now in the section of Andy's brain that centers on the written word. It's a cramped little office, with bookshelves going up to the ceiling and a roll top desk covered with papers. The bookshelves contain copies of all sorts of things that Andy enjoys, but since his own writing is most strongly influenced by that of Donald Barthelme, collections of his writing are the most noticeable on the shelves. Other favorites you notice in short order are The White Mountains, The City of Gold and Lead, The Pool of Fire, Battlefield Earth, and A Confederacy of Dunces. There's also a collection of comics by Caza culled from the pages of Heavy Metal magazine, and a complete set of Emperor Of Da Universe comix, by Steve Hauk.
On the desk you notice a few of Andy's own manuscripts: "The Road to the Future", "The Search for a Perfect Soulmate" (an autobiographical story he wrote as something to be read at he and Kristin's wedding) and "Delusions of Hunger" (a somewhat recent item).
Hanging above the desk is a gold plaque bearing a quote from John Cooper, who most accurately summed up Andy's efforts at writing with these words: "Fascinating stories with endings that just sort of peter out."
