At 12:57, The Four disembarked at the Iceland Street subway station, and began climbing the concrete steps to the surface. Suddenly, Paul froze in his tracks and let out with a howl.
The others all stopped and looked at him.
"I left the bomb on the subway!" shouted Paul.
The others all turned away and groaned.
The Four dashed down the stairs and back onto the subway platform. Too late, the train was long gone.
Paul was agitated. "We've got to find that bomb!" he shouted. "If it falls into the wrong hands, the whole city could be destroyed!"
Expressions of alarm appeared on the faces of the various innocent bystanders who overheard this remark.
Dave held up his hand to calm the others. "All right, all right, just stay cool. We'll find it. We'd better split up. Bert, you and I will search the eastbound trains, Peter and Paul, you search the westbound ones. Meet back here at two AM."
The Four split up.
