Homeworlds: Andy vs. Russell
PBEM Game 1, Report #7, 3/11/4

Russell: Russell: The vast Cookie Delivery Vessel arced across the sky, heading for Cobalt, site of one of the earlier ecological disasters. However, the Peace-Full medium GreenPeace vessel there had been stationed for many months, slowly repairing the worst of the damages, so things weren't as bleak as they might have been. Also, CDV carried vital supplies and much needed entertainment - especially the latest meditation and enlightenment toys. Those hardworking eco-crews would really enjoy these diversions from their daily toils.

Andy: Seeing as how 2 large warships now threaten our Homeworld, we've decided to build another warship, small though it might be, at Paradise.

Russell: What? We're not threatening you! Our weapons are mostly disabled. These ships primarily bake Cookies, although they do have some very *minor* defensive capabilities.

Andy: We are moving a small red ship from our Homeworld to our new outpost at Shade. We have no further comment at this time.

Russell: Our engineers worked through out the nights, burning candles at all three ends, developing this new Transgalactic Teleportation Recycling Device (the TTRD). It is all very technical, but the way it works is, we put something in the chute on one planet, and something else comes out the recycler on another planet. We played with this for weeks, testing it, and finally decided to test it out by maneuvering an entire medium ship into the input chute. Imagine our surprise when we found two new large ships, at two different planets, waiting for our initiation codes to crank up the engines!

Andy: The small yellow ship at Paradise has left the Homeworld, on another mission of discovery! They've come upon a medium green world, which they are naming Springtime, in honor of the beautiful spring weather they experienced on the day of first discovery. It was so nice out, the crew of the landing craft had all their windows opened!

Russell: Arggh!! Why do you get to discover all of the cool systems? My citizens are starting to think that we're all dolts! And now, to discover that your space ships have opening windows? Why didn't we think of that? We love fresh breezes. Our ships all need a good airing out. I'm sending the requisitions to have all of our vessels refitted with opening windows. Do you have window screens, too? Ah ha! We'll have screens on our windows! Just try to keep up with our windowing-fresh-breezing technology!

With their differences resolved, the Tribunal dissolved, and Cookie delivers proceeding with nor further embargoes or harassment, the peoples of Peace and Paradise are finally at, well, peace. The Paradise Interstitial Galactic Scouts (the PIGS) have once again discovered another beautiful planet! Citizens of Paradise have begun wondering why Peace can't discover any cool new planets, and are demanding their own scouts, as well as tourist trips, to find strange new worlds to explore and on which to spend their vacation dollars.

In the tech news, the Transgalactic Teleportation Recycling Device (the TTRD) has proven to be a very chaotic technology. After the first recycling experiment, our fleets have continued to feel ripple effects as the galaxy warps to handle the influx of raw recycled energies. A floating energy cloud enveloped a Medium Cookie Delivery Vessel around Garden last evening, and when that vessel disappeared, two vessels were suddenly transformed, one in orbit around the same planet, another around Garden, far away from the experiments. Our scientists are gravely concerned about the fates of the personnel aboard the missing vessel, but searches have been hampered by fears of more unexpected phenomena.

Andy: Despite cookie-monger propaganda about "peace" and rumors about the Tribunal being "dissolved", the Tribunal has given orders for a small red ship to be built at the colony called Shade.

Russell: This will cause no end to potential problems! According to the Paradise Peace Treaty (subtitled The Abolition of Embargo Against Cookie Delivering Star Ships), signed 14/42/3057.1, the Tribunal was to be dissolved, and the peoples of Paradise were to be given a period of time to reorganize, and to choose their own form of government. Apparently, the Tribunal has moved their planning operations to Shade, and are working on building weapon systems of mass destruction, despite the promises of the treaty's signatories.

We've heard so much about this planet, Paradise - but we've never been given a single invitation to visit. Oh, wait - what's this in the mail? Pretty envelope....
