Got home today to find no dial tone, still. A 611 call from the McDonalds pay phone indicates that the technician today's diagnosis is that it's a "cable" problem, and they may not fix it for four to five days. (I'm trying to keep the rage out of my voice here). So I'm going to take this & other files off to the library and try to download them into GeoCities from there.
