There are still some beautiful, old signs that beckon to those of us with cash to spare. But there are many more that have been dismantled.

I want store owners to know that there's nothing like a nice neon sign to lure me and my money into their business. It's one of my personal principles: Support nice neon. Given a choice, I choose to spend my money at the place with nice neon. And if a place has nice neon, even if I wasn't looking for that particular product or service right then, I'll still go out of my way to check it out.
