Fluxx stuff Andy has sold on eBay
[index] [Fluxx stuff] [Chrononauts stuff] [Icehouse stuff] [M:tG cards] [other stuff]

As the inventor of Fluxx, I have a variety of old Fluxx stuff lying around the house...

Original Artwork for Fluxx Keeper, "Milk"

This is my original pen & ink line drawing of a glass of milk, drawn on August 3, 1996 and featured in the card game Fluxx. Since Looney Labs has sold over 300,000 copies of the game, and this image appears 4 or 5 times in each deck (depending on the edition), it's fair to say that this glass of milk has been duplicated more than 1 million times.

This is the original, which is currently still in my sketchbook. (I'll remove the page when somebody wins the auction.) It's not very big - the whole sheet of paper is just 4.25 x 7" with the actual art being about 3.25" tall.

This cookie is suitable for framing, and comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity!

Original Artwork for Jewish Fluxx Keeper, "Torah"

As a way of saying, "Check it out, y'all, I redrew the artwork for the Torah Keeper," I am this week offering for sale the original artwork I just drew of the Torah for use in the Jewish Fluxx expansion pack, which will finally be going to the printers next week and should be for sale by the beginning of August.

I drew this image over the weekend of June 10-11th, starting with a pencil sketch on Saturday night then finishing up the inking on Sunday afternoon. The actual artwork measures 5.5" x 6.5" and will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Original Artwork for "Death"

This is my original pen & ink line drawing of a tombstone, drawn on August 3, 1996 and featured in the card game Fluxx, as the illustration for the Death Keeper.

This artwork is still in my sketchbook. (I'll remove the page when somebody wins the auction.) It's not very big - the whole sheet of paper is just 4.25 x 7" with the actual art being about 3" x 5".

It's suitable for framing, and comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity! I can also toss in an autographed Fluxx Death Keeper for you if you want.

  • This item sold on 5/26/6 for $20.50

Original Artwork for "Cookies"

This is my original pen & ink line drawing of a cookie, drawn on August 3, 1996 and featured in the card game Fluxx. Since Looney Labs has sold over 250,000 copies of the game, and this image appears 4 or 5 times in each deck (depending on the edition), it's fair to say that this cookie has been copied more than 1 million times.

This is the original, which is currently still in my sketchbook. (I'll remove the page when somebody wins the auction.) It's not very big - the whole sheet of paper is just 4.25 x 7" with the actual art being about 3.25" square.

This game has been out of print for years now and when it is eventually reprinted it will look very different. New full color artwork is already done but Looney Labs is still considering the best way to re-release this game.

Fluxx card game, Version 2.1 (out of print) new in box

This is a never-opened copy of Fluxx, Version 2.1, published by Looney Labs in the year 2000. Fluxx has evolved a lot since this edition; some of the cards that were dropped from Version 3 were brought back in Version 4 (or Zombie Fluxx). However, some cards from Version 2.1 (such as Secret Data and Government Cover-up) can only be found in the oldest versions. If you're a Fluxx fan who never got an early edition, now's your chance!

I still have a couple of boxes full of these to sell.

Unopened 2nd Edition (out of print) Fluxx card game

This is a never-opened copy of the 2nd Edition of Fluxx, published by Iron Crown Enterprises in 1998. (The current version of Fluxx available from Looney Labs is Version 3.0.)

Fluxx 2nd Edition is considerably different from Version 3.0; see the November 14, 2002 issue of the Looney Labs webzine for a detailed description of what changed for Version 3.0.

Fluxx 2nd Edition is almost identical to Version 2.1, published by Looney Labs after ICE filed for bankruptcy.

If you'd like to get your hands on some of those wacky cards that were phased out, like Coffee and Doughnuts, and Taxes, and the Eye and the Pyramid, and Secret Data and Government Cover-up, then you need a version 2 Fluxx deck! The card backs and format are the same as Fluxx and Fluxx Blanxx so you can mix your favorites into your current deck!

I have 3 of these to sell.

  • #1 sold on 8/4/4 for $21.50
  • #2 sold on 8/17/4 for $20.50
  • #3 sold on 9/22/4 for $16.51

Fluxx PROTOTYPE used by the inventor, Version 0.5

This is one of the earliest Fluxx decks ever created, being a prototype used during the original development of the game. It reflects the state of the design at a middle stage of the playtesting... I have retroactively labeled this version 0.5, though I only have 2 prototypes that pre-date this one. This prototype deck features a primitive card layout, several preliminary illustrations that were later redone, and even a few cards that were phased out during playtesting.

Several prototype copies of this version were created, since our friends were clamoring to have their own playtest copies... but I don't remember how many such copies we actually made. I only kept this one.

Notable differences between Version 0.5 and later Fluxx decks:

  • The deck consists of square-cut cards made of flimsy cardstock cards, with plain backs.
  • This was the first prototype to feature pictures on the Keepers and Goals. Most are just as they appear in the First Edition. Chocolate, the Rocket, and Cookies feature artwork which was later redone.
  • The Basic Rules card was printed on gray cardstock, as were two additional cards in this deck, one being a rules summary much like "instructions" card included in the First Edition, and the other being a title card that says "FLUXX Designed by Andrew Looney, Copyright © 1996, Published by Icehouse Games Inc." (This was before we dissolved Icehouse Games and began Looney Labs.)
  • Each card says "FLUXX: The Card Game with Ever-Changing Rules" on the bottom.
  • I still hadn't given up on the Corner Letters concept, so each card still has a small box with a letter in the lower right hand corner and there are still the two Goals that used them ("Spell FLUXX" and "Spell your name") even though no one was ever winning with those.
  • The set of New Rules included are the same as those in version 0.2, but we added some simple icons to the upper left hand corner to help show which rules contradicts which other rules. The Draw rules feature a D in a box, the Play rules feature a P in a diamond, the Hand Limits have an H in a circle, the Keeper Limits have a K in a pentagon, and the 2 hidden Keeper rules have an S (for Secret) in a triangle.
  • The "Draw 4, scatter 'em" Action is still here; on this version, it says "Draw 4 cards. Play one, put one in your hand, give one to an opponent, and put one back on the top of the deck."
  • The deck contains 82 cards: 19 Keepers, 21 Goals, 19 New Rules, 20 Actions, the Basic Rules, Instructions, and Title Card

This prototype comes in a zip-lock baggie. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.

  • This item sold on 8/4/4 for $61.00

The Desert promo card for Fluxx from Origins 2000

This card is from of a set of five special goals which were made to promote Fluxx at Origins in the year 2000. Unlike many of the Looney Labs promo cards, which are still available for free if you mail in a SASE, the supply of these was exhausted years ago. The Origins 2000 promo cards were very popular, and people still ask for them, even though Version 3.0 of the game made these special Goals obsolete.

We thought they were all gone, but then we found nine of these cards in the bottom of a box of old promotional materials. This is the 6th of those 9. The first sold for over $20!

I have 9 of these to sell:

  • #1 sold on 8/4/4 for $20.50
  • #2 sold on 8/17/4 for $11.00
  • #3 sold on 10/12/4 for $6.73
  • #4 sold on 1/11/5 for $12.50
  • #5 sold on 8/24/5 for $10.50
  • #6 sold on 11/23/5 for $10.45
